I have some news to tell you all and you will be all suprised because you dont know me like that:)
okey I will tell the whole story.

Everybody knows that I never really liked my hair and I was always complaining about it. Last Friday Hali and I were watching TV and some women had awesome hair. She had kinda short hair and curls and it looked fantastic.
Hali said, after I was so amazed about her hair: "You could do that with your hair Elke!"
I was like: " Really do you think so, you dont think I will look retardet?"
Hali and I were both suddenly really excited and we decided to do a perm!

Sunday was finally the day, I was so nervous. Hali phoned Brenda, our neighbour from the back allee and at around 7 we went there. it wanst that easy to get there because we have like a meter snow in the bag yard and it was dark outside and I had Peewee in my arms.
after one and a half to two hours we were done. My hair was curled!

I dont really know if I like it, but its not bad. I dont like the back of it, but I mean I dont see the back anyway;)

so thats my story about my new hair, I'm looking forward for the comments......

hello there,

since Christmas a few things happend, not the most excitening things , but I will tell it anyways.
after Christmas I went Skidooing with Brents parents. I was so exited to do that, but it was not even that fun. It was probably just too cold.

after my Christmas holidays I had one week school and than my Finalexmas. everything was pretty easy . we have a finalexamweek and I had only on two day exams so it was like a holidays.
after that the new semester started, so I have now new classe like physics, gym,drame and those are all much fun, and I got to know some more people.

18 -23 january we went to Edmonton. Friday afternoon we arrived and monday morning we left. it is about a 8 hours drive. Edmonton is a big city and very confusing. Saturday night we went to the NHL game Edmonton Oilers against Calgary flames. it was not the best game, but still a cool experience. of course we visit the West Edmonton Mall thats huge. everything is in there a hockeyrink, waterpark, thousend of stores, rollercousters......

at the moment I have my winterbreak and that is great. tomorrow I will finally go snowboarding, I can hardly wait. the last few days I was just hanging out with some friends and enjoying to sleep in:)

yesterday was Valentinesday and we had some friends over for supper, we had a good time.

the wether here in Saskatchewan is still freezing cold and its not gonna change in the next few days and we still have a lot of snow. the winter here is really long and I can hardly wait till it gets warmer and the spring is coming. but till then I will enjoy my long, long winter:)

I hope everybody had a wunderful Christmas and enjoyed to be with your family.
I started with Christmas the 23rd already. Brent, Hali and I picked up Brennan ( Brents son) and drove to Lanigan(about a 2 hours drive) where Brents brother Kyle and his wife Chalsea live. they have such a nice hous with hottop outside and even a little hockeyrink.
Brents parents (Bev and Metro) were there too and Kyles kids (Tyler and Ashley) .After supper we opend some gifts and the rest of the night we spend in the hottop or on the ice.
saturday Chelsaes parents and brother came and again many gifts, but only for the kids and her part f the family.
sunday Hali and Brent left at 11 to bring the kids to their mum and go home. Bev, Metro and I left around 3 o'clock to Yorkton. we had a little supper and we all went togehter to the church, it was a bit borring but ok. at home again everybody could open one gift and then we just enjoyed the evening with playing cards (eight up,eight down or Gamsche) watchin TV and singing karaoki:)
the morning of the 25th we opne all the gifts I got so nice stuff: sweader, t-shirt, mitens, took, neckless.....
around 2 oclock we had our big Christmas dinner with turky, patatos and salades. at the evening a friend of Halis and Brents came to visit us. we both heard so much about each other, but we never met and finally he came. Chris is 24 and a funny gay, we had much fun.
the 26th was boxingday, that means everything is on sale and the stores open at 7 and who is the fastest gets the best. we didnt go that early and I didnt even bought something. at noon we drove to Halis ante and uncle and again alot of food!
that was my Christmas, many people, to much food and a lot of fun!

hello everybody,
I know that it is a long time ago since I wrote something, but it is not really my favourite thing to do;)
anyway at the moment I am very bussy with school, the finalexams getting closer and of course Christmas! I have to make and buy a lot of gifts, please dont be angry, but I wont send anything to Switzerland.
weather is so nice right now, its warm and it will snow soon I think, so I will make all the snowangels and snowmen I promised at the weekend. Since sunday we have our Christmastree decorated and I even decorated my room a little bit...crasy aye...
Mmm what else... ou here in Canada the people always make Christmasparties, just to be with you friends together and have fun. last saturday Hali, Brent and I went to one of a friend of Hali, it was soo funny, we sang caraoki and Brent palyed on his guitarre. the upcoming weekend I will finish my last gifts and wrap all the gifts
(I wrote this report at thursday)

ou and thanks for that fantastic packet, I was so thrilled.

Now its sunday already and I still didnt do the snowman or snowangels, but I am almost done with the gifts. yesterday Hali and I bought a caraokimachin, that is just so fun!!!! ( lalalalalala......)
the wether yesterday was horrible, it was almost a snowstorm, but now its fantastic outside ( die Ruhe nach dem Sturm)

well thats it so far, I just combined the two reports together, because I forgot to publish the other:)

Snow, Snow, Snow.....

Monday evening it started snowing and it was allmost a storm. the next morning I woke up and we had 20-30 cm new powder snow:) but thats not it, it was snowing the whole thuesday and at the end of the day we had probably 40 cm. the srteets are all horrible, only the important once are shuffeled.

In Saskatchewan will be maybe more snow than in Switzterland but the swiss people are much better organiezed! I dont care it is just so wunderful, snow all over the place.
Now I guess we have halfe a meter the sun is shining and the sky is blue, just awesome! but not everything is so nice, because it is minus 19 celcius and with he windshield minus 30. If you want to be outside you have to wear warm clothes, brrrr..... honestly I thought minus 30 would feel colder;)

Those are just pictures from around the house, so that you have first impressions of it.

So the last past few days were very warm, the snow is melting and its muudy everywhere but for all that all people in Yorkton are in Christmasmood, even Hali and Brent, what I can not really understand, its November!!!! last week we bought light and at saturday we installed them on the house, it looks pretty good actually.

At friday I had no school, because the teachers had reportinterviews. I started the day late, I got up around 12 o'clock. I had no idea what I could do so I went to the fittnesscenter for some information and visit Hali in the shop. I was so pissed of I just wanted to do something, but sadly that is not so easy here. I was so upset that I had to come down a little bit, so I lay in my bed for one hour and listened to Mando Diao, ode to Ochrasy (great album by the way;)) after that and much thinking I was better.

At sunday Hali, a neighbour and I went to Regina shopping and I bought some boots. they are not really Elke but I like them. I needed some boots badly, because I couldn't wear my stuffshoes much longer;)
today I had school and it was the same as usual. tomorrow I may go in my first basketballpracticing, it is at 7 in the morning, so I dont know if I will have a ride or if I can get up;)
